Context & Description:

“Are we dead?” is a Location-Based VR experience that blends action with traditional cooperative escape games. I worked on the project from pre-production to near-shipping.

My tasks:

  • Designed gameplay mechanics in alignment with the director’s vision and narrative structure
  • Designed levels, from 2D schematics to 3D block-outs in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Prototyped guns and bossfight game mechanics using Unreal’s Blueprint system
  • Game tweaks and balancing.
  • Wrote and maintained the Game Design Document (GDD)

Retrospective Highlights:

  • Gained valuable experience with traditional LBVR Escape-game.
  • Strengthening my skills in Unreal Engine, Game & Level Design.
