Context & Description:
Giant was developed as part of a school initiative to build original games in smaller teams.
As HTC Trackers were not released yet, we creatively had to use 4 HTC Vive Controllers at the same time.
My tasks:
- Wrote the Game Concept and initial game design documentation.
- Implemented and iterated in the destruction system.
- Level design of the first few levels, using Unity.
- Created PowerPoint presentation to showcase the game.
- Produced a mixed reality gameplay video to demonstrate the full-body VR experience
Retrospective Highlights:
- Learned how to properly design and write a game concept
- Developed my first destruction system using physics-based interactions in Unity.
- Learned the technical and creative challenges of recording mixed reality gameplay.
