Context & Description:
Pet lab is a 3DoF (Degree Of Freedom) VR Game. I worked on it during my one-site internship at ForceFieldVR, at Amsterdam in the Netherlands
The player runs a creature shop, where they hatch, train, and customize fantastical creatures. Use your wand to manipulate eggs, brew potions, and craft unique features like tails, horns, and furs. Train your creatures in interactive mini-games and compete in the “Royal Tournaments”.
My tasks:
- implemented a motion-controlled inventory system for storing ingredients and eggs, improving player interaction in VR
- Implemented level up animation in Blueprints.
- Identified and resolved gameplay and scripting bugs
Retrospective Highlights:
- Gained experience in visual scripting & programming.
- Strengthened my understanding of Unreal Engine’s architecture and best practices
